Alexander S. Stepanek
Mr. Stepanek is an experienced litigator with a track record of standout results for his clients in complex, high-exposure litigation.
Since 2009, Alex's practice has focused primarily on litigating large loss, complex construction, property damage, and general liability cases. Prior to joining RNG, he practiced at nationally recognized civil litigation firms, handling a myriad of cases, including complex commercial construction, construction defect, fire/flood loss, and landslide/subsidence, and involving a wide range of construction projects. Throughout his career, Alex has successfully managed general casualty claims, including general liability (personal/catastrophic injury/wrongful death), premises liability, subrogation, strict products liability, and employment disputes.
Alex brings to his construction practice extensive knowledge and experience regarding the intersection of numerous business and legal sectors, such as insurance, construction, manufacturing, property development and management, and homeowner associations, which make him uniquely capable of providing invaluable strategic counseling to all clients regarding contract review, risk management and allocation, litigation avoidance and loss prevention.
In his personal time, Alex enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well as engaging in numerous sports and hobbies, including mountaineering, surfing, skiing, diving, hiking and adventure travel.

Litigated to conclusion and/or judgment several hundred complex unlimited civil cases throughout California, representing a wide range of clients, including Fortune 500 companies and high net worth individuals.
Obtained complete dismissal via summary judgment of engineering firm by defeating statutory policy limits demand of $1M.
Confidentially resolved in clients' favor a complex hospitality case where clients were facing $120M in claims. Case spanned 10 years and was successfully settled as a direct result of Alex's aggressive risk transfer strategy. Additionally, Alex directed the design, development, testing and implementation of a critical curtain wall repair which avoided the enormous financial damage associated with the closure of a 420 room, 4 diamond hotel.
Through proactive evaluation of complex insurance issues and risk transfer, Alex has obtained insurance coverage for countless clients in the construction and manufacturing industries, thereby eliminating significant risk exposure and uncovered losses.
